The Founder

 

Fine Palate is owned and managed by Heather Barrie who has successfully made a name for herself over the past 20 years as the go‐to caterer for distinguished clients such as ambassadors, gala organizers, celebrity weddings and the like. With a background in classical French cuisine as well as experiences cooking with her Armenian grandmother, Heather began the enterprise from her very own kitchen, literally creating every sauce and filling that she presented on the menus. Fine Palate was her brainchild, introduced at a time when quality catering and artisanal products were unavailable in Singapore.

The Chef

 

The story of Chef Jason is a quintessential journey of aspiration and raw talent. With a Malaysian-Chinese background, Chef Jason spent his formative years training in the fast-paced kitchen of a Cantonese restaurant with high volume orders. Equipped with essential knowledge into running a kitchen with structure, efficiency and technique, Chef Jason joined Heather’s kitchen 8 years ago hungry to learn the intricacies of Western gourmet cooking, and from there has developed his own palate for infusing different flavors into his cuisine.

With Heather Barrie’s fresh cooking styles, and Jason Tam’s bold taste sensations, Fine Palate stays one step ahead, and a cut above the rest.
